NORWICH, N.Y. — NBT Bank announced it has promoted Matthew Tomazin, asset liability and profitability manager, to vice president.

He is a member of the company’s accounting and finance team, responsible for asset and liability management and profitability and accounting functions, according to a recent NBT news release. Tomazin is based in the bank’s corporate headquarters in Norwich.

Tomazin joined NBT Bank in 2008. Since that time, he has been actively involved in managing the company’s assets and liabilities, interest-rate risk, liquidity planning, and the bank’s mergers and acquisitions process, according to the release. Prior to that, he held a management position at United Parcel Service in Vestal.

Tomazin earned a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and an associate degree from Broome Community College.
