NORWICH, N.Y. — NBT Bank announced it has promoted Jonathan Spilka to business banking regional manager from commercial banking relationship manager.

Spilka is based at NBT’s Syracuse Financial Center located in the AXA Building at 120 Madison St. in downtown Syracuse.

In his new role, Spilka oversees a team of business bankers servicing customers across the Central New York region, including Syracuse, the Mohawk Valley, and the Southern Tier, according to an NBT news release.

Spilka has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial-services industry, including in credit analysis and branch management.

Spilka earned his bachelor’s degree in business and public management from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
