People news: Nearpass joins SRCTec as program director

CICERO, N.Y. — Mathew Nearpass has joined SRCTec, LLC as program director. In this new position, he will “steward” the company’s launch into the electronics manufacturing services market, the company said in a news release.

SRCTec said the move into providing “precision, high-end” electronics manufacturing services is moving it beyond its traditional role as a manufacturer solely for parent company, SRC, Inc.

Building strong local manufacturing partnerships in the area is a “top priority” for the company and Nearpass will play a “crucial role” in exploring these new markets, SRCTec said.

“[Nearpass’s] broad range of experience implementing high impact growth strategies and his proven track record of success in the defense industry will be vital to our expansion into the electronics manufacturing services market,” Mary Pat Hartnett, president of SRCTec, said in the release.

Nearpass joins SRCTec from Harris Corp., where he served as director, product line management and led a companywide refocus on product business plan strategies and turnaround efforts, per the release. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia Darden School of Business executive education program and Clarkson University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.
