People news: Pascale joins On Point for College as development director

Lynne Pascale

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Lynne Pascale recently joined On Point for College as the organization’s new development director.

In this role, Pascale will be responsible for On Point’s fundraising efforts, in partnership with the executive director, the board of directors’ development committee, and assigned staff members, according to an organization news release.

Pascale brings more than 35-years of professional experience to On Point for College, having worked in professional services, as a high-school teacher, as director of development at Onondaga Historical Association, and most recently as an entrepreneur. She has served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations in the community, including the Jewish Community Center of Syracuse and the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation. Pascale received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Syracuse University.

“We are excited to have Lynne join the On Point family,” Samuel Rowser, executive director of the organization, said in the release. “Her experience in fundraising and with mission-focused organizations positions her to share the On Point story with new audiences. She’s also worked with high school students, so she understands the perspective of both donors as well as the recipients of our services.”

On Point for College is a college-attainment program founded in 1999 to help first-generation students gain access to college. It later expanded its offerings to include college success  and completion support, career planning and placement support, and most recently, support with non-college post-secondary credential attainment. On Point serves all of Central New York, including Cayuga, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Cortland, and Oswego Counties.
