People news: Pelco hires new director of marketing

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. — Pelco Component Technologies announced it has hired Christopher Kip for its new director of marketing position.

His responsibilities include corporate communications, branding and visual identity, and business-development marketing.

Kip has been creative director at ChromaCreative, Inc. since 2004, designing identity systems and creating strategic communications, in print and digital media, for a variety of national consumer and business brands. He was previously associated with BearingPoint KPMG and Mitchell Madison Group, according to a Pelco news release.

Kip studied computer science and graphics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and earned a bachelor-of-fine arts degree in illustration and design at Syracuse University.

Pelco Component Technologies — headquartered at 2747 Route 20 East in the town of Nelson, just outside of Cazenovia — is a manufacturer and supplier of electrical components to established original-equipment manufacturers and emerging industries. It produces electronic timers and controls and film capacitors, distributes thermal circuit protectors, and also provides test connectors for the aviation and telecommunications industry, according to its LinkedIn profile.
