People news: Preferred Mutual Insurance hires Pasternak as digital-media specialist

NEW BERLIN, N.Y. — Andrew Pasternak has joined Preferred Mutual Insurance Co. as a digital-media specialist, the insurance company announced.

He brings more than 11 years of industry experience to Preferred, most recently operating his own Internet-marketing company — Internet Search Rescue. In his new role, Pasternak will oversee Preferred’s digital presence, managing the company’s social-media platforms and corporate website.

Pasternak earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from SUNY Oneonta and a master’s degree in Internet marketing from Full Sail University.

Preferred Mutual Insurance says it provides property and casualty insurance to more than 230,000 individual and business customers through a network of more than 480 independent agents across New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The mutual insurance company, which started in 1896, employs more than 270 people and is headquartered in New Berlin.
