People news: Primary Urgent Care names new medical director

UTICA, N.Y. — Primary Urgent Care announced it has appointed Dr. Juleen Qandah as its new medical director.

In her new role, Qandah, DO will provide medical direction and administration to Primary Urgent Care’s clinics in Utica and Herkimer.

Dr. Qandah is a board-certified emergency physician who brings years of clinical and medical experience to Primary Urgent Care. She previously was affiliated with MVHS Medical Group as the medical director for Faxton Urgent Care in Utica.

She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her bachelor’s degree in biology from Siena College.

“Dr. Qandah not only brings a wealth of medical knowledge and expertise, but her experience and reputation in emergency medicine will also be a key capability as we continue to grow our clinics in the Mohawk Valley,” Daniel Trevisani, clinic administrator, said in a release.

Primary Urgent Care is locally owned and operated. Its medical services focus on treating non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, including general illnesses, minor injuries, preventive care, and occupation medicine.
