People news: Rome Hospital Foundation names board officers for 2016

ROME, N.Y. — Rome Hospital Foundation announced it has elected its slate of officers for 2016.

They are: Brian Miller, president; Gretchen Sprock, 1st VP; Mark Vacca, 2nd VP; Nick Mayhew, treasurer; and Kristin Grunder, secretary.

The board of directors works to provide financial support and ambassadorship to Rome Memorial Hospital. To date, Rome Hospital Foundation has raised more than $8 million for capital projects, equipment purchases, and hospital programs and services, according to a foundation news release.

“I am excited to head up the efforts of Rome Hospital Foundation,” Miller said in the release. Miller is co-owner of Teddy’s Restaurant and was appointed to Rome Hospital Foundation’s board in 2009. He also serves as the chairperson of the board’s event committee for the Brew Ha Ha event.

Sprock was appointed to the board in 2009 and serves as co-chair of its Flandrau Society and Annual Gala Committee.

Vacca is the principal and owner of Vacca Financial Services and serves as the chair of the Rome Hospital Foundation’s Annual Golf Classic Committee.

Mayhew first became treasurer on the foundation board in 2013, and will continue in that role in 2016. He is president & CEO of GPO Federal Credit Union.

Grunder is co-owner of ACE Hardware in Rome. She serves on the Brew Ha Ha Committee.

Rome Hospital Foundation also announced that the following people are serving on its 2016 board of directors: Richard Artigiani, Darlene Burns, W. Robert Herrmann, Gregory Mattacola, Dewey Rowlands, Shawn Weiman, and Lynne Williams.
