People news: Sciarabba Walker promotes Dabrowska to partner

ITHACA, N.Y. — Accounting and business consulting firm Sciarabba Walker & Co., LLP announced it promoted Renata Dabrowska to partner, effective Jan. 1.

Dabrowska joined Sciarabba Walker in 2007 and has served as head of the firm’s audit department since 2014. She focuses on audits of businesses and nonprofit organizations, as well as small-business taxation and consulting, the Ithaca–area firm said in a news release. Dabrowska is also a member of the firm’s high-technology group and the international tax group.

“Renata is a talented professional who is dedicated to exceptional client service,” Dave Iles, managing partner of Sciarabba Walker, said in the release. “She is a natural leader and excels in helping clients achieve their goals.”

Prior to joining Sciarabba Walker, Dabrowska worked as a controller for Vybion Inc., a local biotechnology company. She is a CPA and earned her master’s degree in accounting from the Cracow University of Economics in Poland.

Sciarabba Walker, founded in 1976, is based at 410 E. Upland Road in the village of Cayuga Heights, in the town of Ithaca.

With Dabrowska’s promotion, women now make up 50 percent of the firm’s partners, per the release.
