AUBURN, N.Y. — The Seward House Museum in Auburn announced that its board of trustees has elected four new trustees. They are: Alex Schloop, brand manager for the Inns of Aurora; Christopher Rheaume, financial advisor at Edward Jones in Auburn; Professor Douglas Egerton of Le Moyne College in Syracuse; and Joseph Rulison, co-founder and CEO of three+one in Rochester.

The museum board held its annual meeting on July 19 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Auburn.

Officers of the board of trustees elected for a one-year term are: President, Daniel J Fisher; VP, Richard Hole; Treasurer, Gail Homick-Herrling; and Secretary, Richard Newman.

The Seward House Museum, located at 33 South St. in Auburn, was the home of William H. Seward, the U.S. Secretary of State in the 1860s who famously negotiated the purchase of Alaska from Russia. He also previously served as U.S. Senator and New York Governor.
