SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The law firm of Smith Sovik Kendrick & Sugnet, PC announced it has added Katherine Stewart as an associate attorney at its Syracuse office.
Stewart is a Rochester native who received her bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and earned her law degree from Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining Smith Sovik, Stewart was an associate at Harris Beach PLLC, focusing on commercial and intellectual-property litigation.
Stewart has returned to Syracuse to focus her practice in all areas of litigation, including contract disputes, commercial, labor law, construction, employment, premises liability, product liability, and professional malpractice, the Smith Sovik law firm said in a news release.
Smith Sovik Kendrick & Sugnet, founded in 1946, calls itself “an aggressive, innovative litigation boutique law firm.” It has more than 30 attorneys who defend individuals, professionals, corporations, and other entities against personal injury, malpractice, and commercial claims in state and federal courts across the state. Smith Sovik has offices in Syracuse, Buffalo, Long Island, and White Plains.
