Waszkiewicz started as a respiratory therapist in Utica, and is experienced in pulmonary, cardiology, and oncology, Sonostics says. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Utica College. She began her career at Lincare Inc. in 1987 working as a respiratory therapist. Waszkiewicz has been promoted to several positions including senior sales representative and regional branch management.
Sonostics developed, manufactures, and sells a product called the HeartPartner, which it says exercises the muscles in a user’s lower legs to improve conditions caused by poor circulation.
The company on March 5 opened the office at 5016 W. Genesee St. in Camillus. It offers free cognitive screenings to the public.
Sonostics also has an office in Endicott.
