People news: St. Joseph’s Health adds Kabbli to cardiology team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — St. Joseph’s Health announced it has added Dr. Gangadhara Kabbli to its cardiology team, where he will serve as director of non-invasive cardiology/advanced cardiac imaging.

He will be responsible for echocardiography, electrocardiography, stress lab, nuclear cardiology and advanced imaging: cardiac CT and MR.

Kabbli earned his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Belgaum, India. Before joining St. Joseph’s Health, he served as a cardiologist at the Guthrie Cardiac and Vascular Center. He completed two residencies in internal medicine — one with the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India, and another at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Kabbli also completed a cardiology fellowship with the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and an advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship at St. Francis Hospital — The Heart Center in Roslyn, New York.

He holds a physician license in New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania and is board certified in cardiovascular medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Kabbli will see patients at St. Joseph’s Physicians Cardiology at Brittonfield Parkway in DeWitt.
