People news: Syracuse Crunch announce Cahill as new public & media relations manager

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Crunch announced it has hired Megan Cahill as public & media relations manager.

Cahill, 23, rejoins the Crunch after spending the 2013-14 season as a public & media relations intern for the American Hockey League (AHL) team.

Before returning, the Auburn native spent the 2014-15 season as communications & community relations manager for the Springfield Falcons, also of the AHL.

Cahill earned her master’s degree in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2014 and a bachelor’s degree in English with business, writing, and communication minors from Siena College in Loudonville in 2013.

Her duties with the Crunch will include managing the team’s communications along with serving as its primary media contact.
