People news: Syracuse Crunch names Hayes VP of revenue development

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Crunch minor-league hockey club announced it has promoted Mark Hayes to VP of revenue development.

Hayes, 34, has been with the Crunch since the 2006-07 season and previously served as the team’s senior director of revenue and partnership development. He has also held the position of senior director of group sales.

In his new position, Hayes will continue to help develop new customer relationships with local and national partners, sell group and season ticket packages, and assist with day-to-day operations, the team said. His responsibilities also include overseeing the Crunch Bunch Kids Club and Summer Street Crunch programs.

Prior to joining the Crunch, Hayes worked as an account executive with Syracuse University Sports Marketing. He graduated from Syracuse University in May 2006 with a degree in selective studies, focusing on sport management, in the College of Human Services and Health Professions.
