ITHACA, N.Y. — Tompkins Trust Company announced it has hired John Bauda as a VP and commercial banking relationship manager.

 Bauda brings 13 years of experience in financial services. He recently moved to Ithaca from Buffalo, where he previously was treasurer and chair of the loan committee for the Westminster Economic Development Initiative (WEDI), a certified development financial institution.

At Tompkins Trust, Bauda’s responsibilities with the commercial lending team include all facets of bank relationship management, including real estate and construction financing, providing working capital, structuring financial transactions to support mergers and acquisitions, guidance on depository and cash management services, and client relationship building with affiliate partners at Tompkins Financial Advisors and Tompkins Insurance Agencies.

Bauda attended Western Illinois University and Houghton College in New York, and holds his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Illinois University.
