People news: Tompkins Trust hires Allen for Syracuse–area office

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Tompkins Trust Company announced it has expanded its financial-services team in the Syracuse market with the addition of Robert (Kip) Allen as commercial banking relationship manager.

Allen will serve as a commercial-loan officer at Tompkins Trust’s new office at 6872 East Genesee St. in the Lyndon Corners area of DeWitt.

He brings more than 33 years of banking experience and a strong knowledge of the Syracuse market to his new role with Tompkins Trust, the bank said in a news release. He was most recently a VP of business services at Empower Federal Credit Union.

“We’re excited to have Kip join our team,” Brian Bisaccio, senior VP and Syracuse regional manager for Tompkins Trust, said in the release. “He has a tremendous amount of experience in commercial banking, with an in-depth knowledge of commercial real estate lending. His relentless drive to create custom solutions for businesses based on their needs directly aligns with the Trust Company’s way of doing business.”
