SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Upstate Medical University has named Susan Furtney as associate administrator for ambulatory services.
She most recently served as the executive director of community engagement and primary care administration for St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, according to an Upstate Medical news release.
Furtney has also held leadership positions at Syracuse University, Care Ring, Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, Lash Group, Carolinas Healthcare System, and Humana.
Furtney has a master’s degree in public health, health policy, and management from Emory University and a bachelor’s degree in public health, health policy, and administration from the University of North Carolina.
