People news: Vaccaro named director of OCC @ Liverpool

CLAY, N.Y. — Erin Vaccaro has been named director of the OCC @ Liverpool college extension location. She replaces Barb Dennehy who retired, Onondaga Community College (OCC) said in a news release.

The recently refurbished OCC @ Liverpool site — located in the Shops at Seneca Mall shopping center at 8015 Oswego Road in the town of Clay — offers day and evening credit classes taught by OCC faculty during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. The facility includes seven classrooms, a student computer lab, and a common area.

Before being named to her new post, Vaccaro worked at OCC for nearly two years as a student success coordinator in economic and workforce development. She previously was associate dean of student services and an academic advisor at Bryant & Stratton College’s Liverpool campus.

Vaccaro is an alumna of Jordan-Elbridge High School who earned degrees from Le Moyne College and Capella University.
