MONTOUR FALLS, N.Y. — Welliver, which provides construction services in New York and northern Pennsylvania, announced it has hired Ryan Bettis as assistant project manager.

In this role, he assists in the day-to-day operation on the construction site, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing labor, the firm said in a release. In addition, Bettis assists in organizing, estimating, scheduling, and value engineering to navigate the ever-changing construction landscape to find new ways to solve problems and build more efficiently.

“Construction is a growth industry,” Welliver President Anne Welliver-Hartsing said. “There is great opportunity for young professionals to build a rewarding career. We look forward to Ryan’s energy and are pleased to add him to our project-management team. We’re happy to invest in someone who wants to become an integral part of the team and help move our projects forward.”

Previously, Bettis worked as a project engineer for Binghamton–based Fahs Construction Group, according to his LinkedIn profile. While there, he gained experience working with project managers and superintendents in all facets of construction as well as collaborating with a variety of trades and architecture/engineering firms. He began his career with smaller residential projects, working his way up to multi-million-dollar commercial/industrial projects and heavy civil and highway construction projects.

Headquartered in Montour Falls, Welliver is a fifth-generation, family-owned company that provides construction management, pre-construction, general construction, and design/build services to industries including health care, higher education, K-12 education, commercial/residential, and industrial.
