Jeffery Makela

MONTOUR FALLS, N.Y. — Welliver, a provider of comprehensive construction services in New York and northern Pennsylvania, has promoted Jeffery Makela to general superintendent.

Makela is responsible for building the right project team, assigning the proper superintendent for the project, training, and managing the workforce on the project site. The lifelong construction professional brings more than 30 years of experience in complex building projects to his new role, according to a Welliver news release. Makela plays an integral role in building and strengthening client relationships, creating collaborative environments, and bringing construction workers and the trades into a new era of conducting business.

“We are pleased to offer Jeff the opportunity to use his years of experience to better serve our clients,” company President Anne Welliver-Hartsing said. “We know Jeff will be an asset allowing us to provide our customers with the high level of service they deserve while enabling us to achieve our goals for growth as a company.”

Makela served as a project superintendent at Welliver starting in 2017. In that role, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of a construction worksite including manpower, building plans and specifications, material inventory, as well as managing communications with project managers and others. Prior to joining Welliver, he worked as a project superintendent for LeChase Construction, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Welliver provides construction management, pre-construction, general construction, and design/build services to markets including health care, higher education, K-12, commercial/residential, and industrial.
