SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Pinnacle Investments, a financial-services firm headquartered in Syracuse, announced it has promoted Monica Coles to chief compliance officer.

Prior to joining Pinnacle Investments as director of compliance in February of this year, Coles held roles in operations and compliance. Most recently, she served as VP and head of supervision with the Syracuse–based independent broker-dealer firm, Cadaret, Grant & Co., Inc., according to her LinkedIn profile. And in her two jobs before that, Coles served as a financial center manager at AmeriCU Credit Union and in VP roles at Morgan Stanley.

In her new role as chief compliance officer, Coles will oversee Pinnacle’s compliance program, including compliance staff, in addition to mentoring the firm’s supervisory personnel, in order to continue meeting the increasingly complex regulatory requirements of the financial industry.

“The team at Pinnacle is excited to tap into Monica’s wide range of knowledge and industry experience to ensure we maintain the trust and integrity we have built with clients since our founding almost 30 years ago,” Pinnacle Investments CEO Ben Quilty said in a release. “We are confident her talent and expertise is a perfect fit as we continue to execute on our strategy of continued growth.”
