Polaris keeps growing in 2011

SALINA — Polaris Library Systems added more customers and library locations in 2011, finishing the year with a total of 59 signed contracts, up from 27 in 2010.

The company, based in Salina, added 285 library locations and 41 new customers for the year. The firm said it has grown in recent years by expanding its customer base and growing business with existing clients.

“Our continued success stems from a basic philosophy that Polaris has had since day one — we are simply in the business of helping libraries serve their communities,” said Polaris President and CEO Bill Schickling said in a news release. “That mission guides everything that we do; from product development to support and service.”
