In her new role, she leads the execution of Preferred’s brand strategy, corporate marketing and communications, public relations, and market and customer research, the insurance company said in a news release.
DeMarco has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and various management roles, the firm said. Her previous positions include serving as director of marketing and alliances at Highstreet IT Solutions, LLC; manager of marketing and communications for the World Presidents Organization; and director of publications for Sufka and Associates.
DeMarco earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from SUNY Geneseo, and her MBA from Clarkson University.
Preferred Mutual Insurance, based in New Berlin, provides property and casualty insurance coverage to more than 232,000 individual and business customers through a network of more than 490 independent agents throughout New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The insurer employs more than 290 people.
