ROME, N.Y. — The Project Fibonacci Foundation, Inc. (PFF) recently received an $8,550 grant from the Rome Community Foundation for capital-equipment purchases in support of its STEAM (STEM plus arts) leadership-education programs.

PFF will use the funds to purchase Chromebooks, drone kits and spare parts, and exhibitor materials to establish an on-hand inventory on hardware items and equipment resources to support its activities and for use at STEM conferences.

“The Rome Community Foundation’s financial support eliminates many of the logistical barriers that we have faced when depending on third parties for certain equipment loaners and onsite support on behalf of our STEAM innovation camps and conference workshops,” PFF Chairman Andrew Drozd said in a news release announcing the grant. “Their support helps us immensely in that regard, and a big thank you to the foundation for their help.”
