Rasmussen Business Equipment formally opens in Oswego

OSWEGO — James Rasmussen, who has more than 23 years of experience in business-machine service and repair, has formally opened his own business.

Rasmussen Business Equipment, located at 296 E. Second St. in the city of Oswego, opened its doors in January, but announced its opening in a news release this week. It specializes in the service and maintenance of copiers, printers, and fax machines, according to the release. The firm also sells new copiers, printers, toner cartridges, and off-lease copiers.

Rasmussen Business Equipment says it serves businesses throughout Oswego County and the surrounding area.

James Rasmussen says in an interview that he co-owns the business with one of his former colleagues. The co-owner declined to be named.

Rasmussen, who holds certifications in the repair of more than 50 different types of business machines, says opening up the business was “an opportunity.”

Rasmussen Business Equipment currently has two full-time employees.

The company’s early customers include Davis Bros Meat and Volney Multiplex, Inc., according to the release.
