That’s according to the latest monthly employment report that the New York State Department of Labor issued on Thursday.
The Utica–Rome metro area added 900 jobs, a 0.7 percent gain, in the last 12 months.
The Binghamton region gained 500 jobs, up 0.5 percent, in the past year.
The Watertown–Fort Drum region picked up 700 jobs between February 2016 and this past February, an increase of 1.7 percent.
New York state as a whole gained nearly 131,000 jobs, an increase of 1.4 percent, in that 12-month time period. The state economy added more than 12,000 jobs, or 0.1 percent, between January and February of this year, the labor department said.
