Report: Most CNY regions added jobs in the past 12 months

The Syracuse, Ithaca, Utica–Rome, Binghamton, and Watertown–Fort Drum regions all posted job gains in the last year, while the Elmira area bucked the trend with a decline in jobs.

That’s according to the latest monthly employment report that the New York State Department of Labor issued on Thursday.

The Syracuse region added 2,300 jobs between October 2016 and this past October, an increase of 0.7 percent.
