AmeriCU Credit Union has announced the appointment of retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major Richard Foist as its new Lowville Financial Center manager. With extensive experience in leading diverse teams, he brings invaluable expertise to his new role. Foist recently transitioned from the U.S. Army after a successful military career of 23 years. He is responsible for managing daily financial-center operations, ensuring exceptional member service, and supervising the Lowville team to meet its goals, AmeriCU says. Foist plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, nurturing employee development, and maintaining strong relationships with both members and the community. “I am looking forward to contributing to the growth of AmeriCU within the community by helping members navigate their financial journey,” says Foist. “I will help to bring the best AmeriCU has to offer to our local community.” Foist completed a bachelor’s degree in leadership and workforce development from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at the Sergeants Major Academy (SGM-A), a bachelor’s degree in homeland security from American Military University, and a minor in organizational leadership from Western Kentucky University.
