Envisage Information Systems (EIS) has promoted Robert Snyder to vice president of solutions and innovation from director of application development.  Receiving his bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College, he joined Envisage Information Systems, LLC in 1996. Snyder led the project that produced Envisage’s first 401(k) Internet product for a small third-party administration firm in Mechanicsburg, Pa. During his career at Envisage, Snyder has served as mentor, educator, designer, developer, IT administrator, and director, working on projects large and small. He left Envisage during the early 2000s and returned in 2012. Prior to rejoining the company, Snyder was a senior engineering manager in IBM’s Enterprise Systems Mainframe division, as well as an instructor of networking technology and computer science with SUNY. He was instrumental in building out IBM’s offshore-development lab in Russia and managing the Enterprise Systems Coupling / Parallel Sysplex development team
