ROME, N.Y. — The New York State Police on Wednesday arrested a Rome man for stealing five handguns, a shotgun, and a rifle from a building that he was working at on Turin Road in the city of Rome.
Christopher A. Longto, age 31, was charged with 16 criminal counts as follows: seven counts of 2nd degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count of 2nd degree burglary, seven counts of 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon, and one count of criminal possession of a firearm — all felonies.
Longto was transported to the Oneida County Jail for centralized arraignment and was remanded on $50,000 bail or a $100,000 bond, the State Police said.
