ROME, N.Y. — Rome Medical Practice, an affiliate of Rome Memorial Hospital, has hired Lisa Taurisano as its new administrative clinical manager.

“With more than 20 years of clinical nursing experience and eight years of management experience in a healthcare setting, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and strong leadership skills to her new position at Rome Medical Practice,” Rosemel Atkinson, VP of physician practices for the hospital, said in a release. “As administrative clinical manager, she will oversee all clinical aspects of the specialty practices, which include urology, neurology, pulmonology and sleep medicine, orthopedic and sports medicine, surgical services, and obstetrics and gynecological services.”

Taurisano began her career in health care as a licensed practical nurse. She went on to receive her associate degree in nursing from Mohawk Valley Community College, her bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNYIT/Utica College, and her master’s degree in health-care administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Rome Memorial Hospital is a nonprofit health-care system based in Rome, providing services to patients throughout Central New York. It is an affiliate of St. Joseph’s Health and an affiliated clinical site of New York Medical College.
