NEW HARTFORD — Rome Research Corp., a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corp. (NYSE: PAR), landed a $14.2 million, five-year contract from the U.S. Navy to provide telecommunications operations and maintenance services at the Global Information Grid (GIG) facility.

The site, located at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, Africa will join other communications facilities that Rome Research Corp. (RRC) operates for the Navy.

Services provided will include support to the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa as well as several other tenants at Camp Lemonnier, Steve Lynch, president of PAR Technology’s government operations, said in a release.
