Schumer says regional effort led to tech-hub designation

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D–N.Y.) on July 2 announced the Buffalo-Rochester-Syracuse federal tech hub (NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub) has secured a $40 million federal award to “further position Upstate [New York] as a semiconductor center for the world,” per his office.
