Seaboard Graphics acquires Liverpool Litho

CLAY, N.Y. — Seaboard Graphics of Clay has acquired Liverpool Litho of Salina in a transaction that closed Jan. 2.

The two private firms say they are combining to expand print, warehouse, and design capabilities serving the Syracuse and Central New York region.

Seaboard Graphics announced the acquisition in a news release issued Jan. 9. It didn’t disclose any financial terms of the agreement.

Seaboard Graphics operates at 7570 Oswego Road in Clay, while Liverpool Litho is located at 400 Old Liverpool Rd. in Salina.

In the acquisition, Seaboard Graphics added Liverpool Litho’s eight employees to Seaboard Graphics’ workforce of 23.

Former Liverpool Litho co-owners, Tom Wallace, Jr. and Ralph Stewart, who are among the firm’s eight employees, will remain with the company to “ensure an ease of transition,” according to the Seaboard Graphics news release.

Stewart is planning to retire and Wallace will focus his efforts on sales and marketing, says Laurence (Larry) Kuhn, president and CEO of Seaboard Graphics.

Kuhn spoke with CNYBJ on Monday.

Liverpool Litho and Seaboard Graphics will continue to conduct business under their current names at their current locations. Liverpool Litho is operating as a Seaboard Graphics company, says Kuhn.

“This merger gives our customers access to an expanded design/art department, large format printing, embroidery, promotional products, screen printing, fulfillment, company stores, vehicle wraps, warehousing and much more … all through one local company,” Melinda Kuhn, CFO of Seaboard Graphics, said in the news release.
