CAMILLUS, N.Y. — SECNY Federal Credit Union (FCU) announced plans to open a new branch later this summer at 3508 West Genesee St. in Camillus, across from the Fairmount Fair shopping center.

The credit union is moving into a space that Chase Bank previously occupied, Courtney Fulmer, chief experience officer at SECNY, tells CNYBJ in an email. Chase constructed and opened a new branch a tenth of a mile away.

In addition to a branch office, SECNY will also use additional space in the shopping plaza, in which it’s located, to house its mortgage department and contact center.

The new Fairmount SECNY branch will include services such as a drive-thru teller and ATM, night-deposit services, coin machine, and a notary public, the credit union said.

It will be the sixth SECNY branch location in Central New York. The credit union already has offices in Baldwinsville, Manlius, North Syracuse, Syracuse (Onondaga Hill), and Skaneateles.

It also has three student-run high-school branches (not open to the public) at LaFayette High School, Onondaga Central High School, and Jordan-Elbridge High School. All activities are supported by an Education and Career Center located in Liverpool.

SECNY FCU says it has a 50-year history of serving Central New York. Membership is open to anyone “living, working, worshipping, attending school in as well as businesses and legal entities” in Onondaga, Cayuga, Madison, and Oswego counties.
