Second Syracuse e200 class ready to graduate tonight

SYRACUSE  —  The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is set to graduate the second Syracuse class from its Emerging Leaders Initiative tonight.

The initiative, known as the e200 Initiative, trains the leaders of small companies to stoke expansion and hiring. Syracuse is one of just 17 cities in the country to host it.

The SBA’s Syracuse district office will hold its graduation ceremony tonight at 6 p.m. at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Environmental Science and Forestry’s (ESF) Marshall Hall in Syracuse. This year, 17 business leaders are in line to graduate, up from 13 who completed the program in 2011.

Graduating companies are Berry Good Dental Care, P.C.; Buttolph Lumber Co.; Calico Gals, Inc.; Delmonico Insurance Agency; HR One; Infitec, Inc.; Inforia, Inc.; John Arquette Properties; Just The Right Stuff, Inc.; Midstate Spring, Inc.; Nagle Athletic Surfaces, Inc.; New Hope Mills Manufacturing; Prudent Engineering, LLP; Rudy Schmid Inc. Body & Frame Shop; Site-Seeker, Inc.; Westside Audiology & Eastside Audiology Services, LLC; and Willowbank Co., LLC.

The SBA’s Syracuse district office put on the e200 by working with CenterState CEO, the Central New York Technology Development Organization, the city of Syracuse’s Office of Neighborhood and Business Development, the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc., the Manufacturers Association of Central New York, the Small Business Development Center at Onondaga Community College, SUNY ESF, Syracuse SCORE, Syracuse University and its Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship, the Syracuse Technology Garden, and the WISE Women’s Business Center.
