That’s according to a blog post on the website of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, the former Hotel Syracuse.
The venue will feature a “sports-pub” menu, 13 craft beers on tap, and “every major sports-television package for the 21 televisions circling the island bar,” the posting said.
The interior of Shaughnessy’s will also include a piece of Syracuse local sports history.
The pub will use the original Syracuse Nationals’ basketball court as its floor. The hotel said it recently purchased the floor from Onondaga County War Memorial, according to a Feb. 10 news release. That same release indicated Shaughnessy’s was working to fill 35 jobs.
The Marriott Syracuse Downtown is located at 100 E. Onondaga St. in Syracuse. Shaughnessy’s Irish Pub lists an address of 550 S. Warren St. on its Facebook page.
The pub will operate Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to Midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
The bar name is derived from hotel owner Ed Riley’s first Irish Setter, Shaughnessy, the blog post said.
Shaughnessy’s will join two dining venues already open in the Marriott Syracuse Downtown — Eleven Waters and The Cavalier Room.
