Six GENIUS NY Teams Seek Talent as they Grow Businesses in CNY

It was just a few weeks ago that six teams participating in the GENIUS NY program were awarded a total of $2.75 million in investments during the business accelerator’s finals competition. The teams, which located to Central New York early this year, have already begun to tap into these investments to grow their companies, hire talent, and expand their presence in the region.

AutoModality, which won the $1 million grand prize investment, is looking to hire two full-time engineers. The company, originally from California, is creating autonomous mobile systems that sense, explore, and analyze the world around us.

Additionally, Ascent Aerosystems, awarded the second-place prize of $600,000, recently began working with a local company to manufacture its devices. The company is hiring two new team members by this summer. (For more information, visit: https://www.ascentaerosystems.com/pages/careers).

OmniMesh, which was awarded $400,000, is working with the NUAIR-managed unmanned aircraft system (UAS) test site to advance its technology.

EZ3D has already significantly grown its customer base in the region and is seeking technical talent. Likewise, Akrobotix and SkyOp also have open positions as they gain new customers.

As the first round of GENIUS NY teams advance their businesses in the region, the program is already preparing to launch GENIUS NY II.
