The medical group is preparing to move its hematology/oncology department into a new office suite on the main level of the Slocum-Dickson building, the group said in a news release.
“The new office suite offers the latest equipment for the preparation of chemotherapy medications and other anti-cancer agents, and includes a variety of updates that will create a warm, comfortable environment for patients undergoing treatment,” Anne Falchi, COO for the Slocum-Dickson Medical Group, said in the news release.
The renovation work included expansion of the infusion area to include additional infusion chairs and the creation of a separate phlebotomy room for patients receiving injections or having blood drawn, the group said.
Located on the main level in the building’s west wing, the hematology/oncology suite will have its own patient reception and waiting area, the group said.
Besides its New Hartford location, Slocum-Dickson Medical Group also has offices at 91 Perimeter Road in Rome and 55 Central Plaza in Ilion, according to the practice’s website.
