SNY sports reporter to give keynote address at Paul Smith’s College commencement on May 6

Paul Smith’s College — a small, private college located in the Adirondacks — announced that Jeané Coakley will deliver the keynote address at its 70th commencement on May 6, at 11 a.m.

Coakley is a sports reporter/anchor with SportsNet New York (SNY). She joined the cable network in 2010 and contributes to its sports and entertainment news shows, including “SportsNite,” “Daily News Live” and “Loud Mouths.” Coakley is also SNY’s lead New York Jets beat reporter.

Before joining SNY, Coakley worked at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, where she covered all sports.

A New York state native, she graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.

Paul Smith’s College, which is located about 12 miles northwest of Saranac Lake, has an enrollment of about 1,000 students.
