Social-media site ChronicleMe relaunches in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — ChronicleMe (CMe), an emerging social network that allows users to post anonymously and only receive positive feedback from other users, relaunched online on Monday.

CMe (www.chronicleme.com) describes itself “as a positive social media company that allows users to share their innermost thoughts, secrets, and confessions with complete anonymity in a safe, judgment-free environment,” according to a news release.

Site users select when and to whom they are anonymous.

AJ Richichi, ChroniceMe’s founder and CEO, and his team relaunched the social network after Peter Coors, chairman of the Denver, Colo.–based Molson Coors Brewing Company (NYSE: TAP), provided two rounds of seed capital.

“We’ve taken analytical information from over nine months of beta testing. Additionally, we’ve conducted extensive market research and received user feedback. From this, our team developed what we believe to be a new site that will make [a] significant splash in the social-media space,” Richichi contended in the news release.

Aside from building the new platform, ChronicleMe has been working with different organizations for fundraising and awareness campaigns.

The campaigns targeted suicide prevention, along with mental-health, sexual-assault, and cyber-bullying issues.

ChronicleMe most recently worked with more than 20 self-help organizations and partners for its “Stop Domestic Violence” campaign, reaching more than 800,000 people with the facts and figures on domestic and sexual violence in the U.S.

ChronicleMe, Inc. is headquartered at the Syracuse Tech Garden.
