SOLVAY, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office announced that that detectives have charged a Solvay man in several daytime residential burglaries over the last couple of weeks.

Stephen Gosselin, III (age 24) of Boyd Avenue, is accused of burglarizing several homes in the village of Solvay and in the town of Geddes. The department said he stole electronics, jewelry, and U.S. currency. A dollar amount for the thefts was not disclosed in a Sheriff’s Office news release.

Over the past two weeks or so, detectives assigned to the burglary investigations unit received several burglary complaints in the Hatherleigh Heights/Scenic Hills area, per the release. A subsequent investigation revealed information that identified Gosselin as the person responsible for committing the burglaries.

He was later arraigned in Centralized Court and is currently being held in the Justice Center on bail set at $5,000 cash or $7,500 bond.
