ITHACA — Tornado Medical Systems and Arjae Spectral Enterprises are merging to form a new company, Tornado Spectral Systems.
The new company will be based in Toronto, Ontario and will also have a presence in Ithaca. Tornado Medical is an early-stage medical imaging and spectroscopy company while Arjae specializes in spectrometers.
Their technology has defense and security, environmental, biomedical, and industrial applications, according to the companies.
