CICERO, N.Y. — SRC, Inc. has promoted Kevin Hair to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

Hair has worked for SRC for more than 30 years, most recently serving as the company’s executive VP of corporate business development and government affairs, SRC said in a news release.

The nonprofit SRC, formerly known as Syracuse Research Corporation, focuses on areas that include defense, environment, and intelligence.

As head of SRC’s operations, Hair is responsible for the research and development organization’s day-to-day functions, SRC said.

In addition, he’ll direct strategic planning, monitor the firm’s financial performance, create new expansion initiatives, and develop key industry relationships.

“Kevin’s technical and marketplace knowledge, as well as his years of experience with SRC, has been vital to our strategy,” Paul Tremont, president and CEO of SRC, said in the release. “He is a highly capable professional with subject matter expertise in business development and we can rely on him to be steadfast in maintaining our culture while increasing our opportunities.”
