SRC names senior VP of force protection, VP of international operations

In her new role, Wigge will lead the execution, technical development, and growth of significant lifesaving systems for the U.S. military. She will be responsible for all aspects of SRC’s force protection division, including program performance, developing an inclusive and innovative work environment, establishing strategic goals and objectives, developing industry partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

SRC on Oct. 25, 2019 announced it had formed the force protection division in response to customer priorities and to focus on developing electronic warfare, counter-unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), and advanced technology solutions for protecting soldiers and military assets around the world.

In the same announcement, SRC indicated Wigge would serve as assistant VP of operations of the force protection division.

“Maureen’s leadership and knowledge around electronic warfare and counter-UAS programs have been vital to SRC’s continued success,” Kevin Hair, president and CEO of SRC, said in a statement. “We are excited to have Maureen leading the force protection group as they develop and deliver critical technology to our warfighters.”

Wigge has worked at SRC for over 12 years and has more than 35 years of experience in the EW (electronic warfare) field including technology development, direct support of programs, and management of large programs and engineering teams.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia and is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership’s development program and the Johns Hopkins University/Syracuse University national security studies course.

About Unger

In this newly created role, Unger will be responsible for the operations of SRC’s international subsidiaries as SRC continues to expand worldwide. He will coordinate opportunities and efforts among the subsidiaries and across the SRC enterprise. In addition to his new responsibilities, he will continue to lead the electronic warfare and signals intelligence solutions business unit at SRC.

He will enhance SRC’s strategy, business development and operations resources,” Hair said in a statement. “We are excited to have him spearheading this important function and look forward to seeing how Kevin will further expand our international operations.”

Unger has worked at SRC for more than 24 years, having most recently served as assistant VP of electronic warfare (EW) & signals intelligence (SIGINT) solutions.

He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana and a master’s degree in engineering management from Syracuse University.
