The work will include “expert” analysis and support for four electronic-warfare databases that the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. allied partners will use, SRC said in a news release.
SRC is a nonprofit corporation headquartered in Cicero that focuses on areas that include defense, environment, and intelligence.
SRC’s Cicero location, along with its operations in Dayton, Ohio and Charlottesville, Virginia, will supplement the work of its San Antonio, Texas plant on this contract.
The Air Force’s 57th intelligence squadron awarded the contract, SRC noted. The squadron is part of the joint base at San Antonio–Lackland, Texas.
The databases supported in this effort contain information about the characteristics of foreign, domestic, commercial, and military-radio, frequency-emitting systems.
In turn, the Air Force uses the information for electronic-warfare reprogramming and data-based mission planning, helping it “identify and mitigate threats.”
“We are honored to have been chosen by the Air Force to continue to provide the 57th intelligence squadron with industry leading technical data analysis and software development that has the power to save lives,” Paul Tremont, president and CEO of SRC, said in the release.
