SRCTec sells two radar systems to airport in Taiwan

CICERO — SRCTec, the for-profit manufacturing subsidiary of nonprofit SRC, Inc., has recently completed the sale of two ground-surveillance radars to the Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan. These systems will enhance the security along the perimeter of the airport and keep out intruders, the company said in a news release.

Financial terms of the sale weren’t disclosed.

Drew James, president of SRCTec, is looking forward to partnering with the Taoyuan Airport and to carry this technology into the international market. “The SR Hawk system is ideal for perimeter security of critical infrastructure such as airports,” James said in the release.

The SR Hawk radar’s lightweight and cost-efficient design provides wide-area situational awareness. It’s able to track personnel, marine vessels, low-flying aircraft, and land vehicles, according to the release. SRC created the system and SRCTec manufactures it.
