St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater won’t allow outside lawn chairs at certain concerts this season

GEDDES, N.Y. — St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview has announced some upcoming concerts for which it won’t allow outside lawn chairs.

“At this time,” they include the upcoming shows by Chris Stapleton on June 8; Shania Twain on July 8; Phish on July 23; and the Zac Brown Band on Aug. 11, per the Tuesday announcement from ASM Global, which operates the amphitheater.

The venue’s lawn-chair policy says “For the safety, comfort and experience of all fans, the Venue reserves the right to not permit outside lawn chairs from being brought into the venue. A limited number of lawn chair rentals will be available for advance purchase online or at the venue on the day of the event, while supplies last.”

When concerts reach 14,000 tickets sold, outside lawn chairs will not be permitted inside the venue. This information is outlined for concert goers under ‘Important Details’ section of each event listing on the amphitheater’s website.

This policy is consistent with the lawn-chair policy implemented in 2022 for the Morgan Wallen concert, ASM Global noted.

ASM Global also reminds concert goers that for shows that do not permit outside lawn chairs, a “limited number” of lawn-chair rentals will be available for advance purchase online or at the venue on the day of the event, “while supplies last.”
