SYRACUSE — St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation’s annual gala dinner dance raised more than $350,000, exceeding its goal for 2014.

St. Joseph’s announced the fund-raising total in a news release yesterday. The organization held the event May 30 at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona.

St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, located in Syracuse, will use the money raised at the gala to support its programs and services.

“We are particularly excited that this year’s gala’s net proceeds will support the construction of our PACU in the new patient tower, which will be opening in September,” Doug Smith, vice president for development, said in the news release. “We have achieved record dollars and one of the best attended events in our history.”

PACU is short for post-anesthesia care unit.

Central New York Infusion Services, LLC served as the event’s presenting sponsor, St. Joseph’s said.
